I first picked up a camera in eighth grade and I seem to have never put it down. I've been photographing weddings for nearly ten years, and my love for them grows deeper every year.
I'm big on joyful candids and romantic portraits, but I also know that those traditional "smile and look at the camera" photos are what get framed and passed down. Think of my style as a happy mix between classically posed and artfully candid.
Legacy is a big part of my work. What that means is that it's really important to me to take photos of the people around you - your parents and your grandparents, the people who raised you and brought you to this day. And in the same sense, looking forward to your children and grandchildren, and creating timeless portraits that won't look dated.
I'm a textbook introvert but you'll probably find me busting a move on your dance floor. I married my husband Brad in 2015, we're dog parents to two polar opposite pups, and we bought a 1955 mid-century modern house back in 2019 - The Milky Way House - that we rent out for photoshoots and weddings.
I love drawing inspiration from 1950s wedding photos. No stiff posing, funky editing filters or cheesy poses. Just happy, timeless photos that are still beautiful today. I even use the same film stocks that your grandparents' wedding photos were probably taken with. I want to give you photos that will still be hanging on your walls in fifty years with no regrets.
When you receive your wedding photos, I want you to see all the small moments you may have missed. Like the way your mother looked at you as you walked down the aisle, or kids "being kids" during the ceremony. After nearly ten years of shooting weddings, I know where to look and how to anticipate moments, big and small.
Everyone's story deserves to be documented in an honest, beautiful way. Throughout our process of working together, you will be given ample space to be yourselves and to experience meaningful moments with one another. My clients love that I guide and direct when needed, but know when to step back and allow a moment to unfold.
